How could it be ?  During a few hours I have been more than 100 points down in my rating... (

Did it happen to anyone else here ? The such Chess "misery"?

Or was it my bad day simply ?

I can't find an explanation and solace for myself... ) I lost in counting of the games I lost.

Just stop playing and relax. This has happened to me a few times. I regained all my rating after 1 month.

Okey. But it's very strange... really.

In that sad day it seemed that anyone could beat me.

I even swore... not to play Chess  more.

If I continue to play then I lose the last self-respect. )

It happens almost to everyone. It’s called a tilt and playing more games will not help you, you’ll just keep on losing more rating points, take a break from chess for 2-3 days and come back and it’ll be fine.

Also you are lucky that you lost only 100 points I lost 300 points in bullet once wink.png

I lost over 200 rating points in a string of losing streaks across a week long period.

I’d get the occasional win or draw to give me false hope only to enter yet another losing streak.

It happens to all of us, don’t worry.

Keep grinding dude, and you’ll get those points back ✌️😎
Avatar of 1d31-O

Trying to grind while on a tilt will just make you lose  more points 😶 take a 2-7 day break and then try grinding

It was kind of on me for stubbornly continuing to play while I was clearly burned out.

Took a day off of chess and I’m feeling great.

Well... let's be optimists then.

When I was losing game by game that day... I had a thought that something wrong with me... And that I even unlearn to play chess at all.

I lost faith in myself as a chess player. ))) Did you feel that too?

this happens to me usually once a week, just try to take a break for a day or two, I've managed to regain most of my lost elo after one or two days
