Anyone else tired of the same double fianchetto and trading everything off in the first 30 seconds? This becomes so boring when you play against the same opening/playstyle every other game. Especially at the 1800 mark nobody does anything creative or novel ever
Oh, how easy would my games be if every 1800s played like that. Sadly, most of my games against 1800s consist of mainstream openings, attacking and really long games.
I've looked at your last few games, and I haven't seen anything like that. And by the way, you can do against it. If your opponent is playing double fianchetto, try trading down the bishops or blocking them. And if you avoid trading, your opponents can't trade off everything in 30 seconds.
If you want more interesting games I would suggest this. If you see something complicated or fun, and you don't see any way that it fails, then go for it.
