The 2025 Bullet Chess Championship takes place June 23-28, featuring a $50,000 prize fund.

Eight invited players are joined by eight players who qualify via Play-Ins.

The Bullet Chess Championship is the strongest online bullet tournament and determines who is the fastest chess player in the world.
The 2025 Chess.com Bullet Chess Championship Play-Ins for titled players happen on June 23, with eight different events throughout the day. The Bullet Chess Championship takes place from June 25 to June 28. Check out the detailed schedule.

Jun/23 • Play-Ins (show details)

Titled players can compete in any of the eight Play-Ins for a spot in the Bullet Chess Championship.

Time control: 1+0
Each Play-In is a 60-minute arena with a score-based pairing system
The winner of each Play-In earns the right to play in the Bullet Chess Championship
Play-In winners draft their bracket position immediately after winning the arena
Players who have already qualified cannot play in subsequent Play-Ins

Jun/25-28 • Bullet Chess Championship (show details)

Eight invited players are joined by the eight Play-In winners for the title of Bullet Chess Champion.

The 16 participating players compete in a double-elimination knockout bracket
Matches consist of a 30-minute countdown clock for all rounds, except for the Winners Semifinals, Winners Final, and Grand Final, which are each 45 minutes long
Players earn 1 point for each win, 0.5 for each draw, and 0 for each loss
The player with the most points at the end of the match wins, provided they have at least a two-point advantage when the timer runs out
If the leading player does not have a two-point advantage by the end of the match, players contest up to 10 games until one of the players attains a two-point lead
If no one leads by two points by the end of the 10th game, the player who's ahead wins the match. If the score is tied, players keep contesting games until someone wins
