Thanks a lot, much appreciated! I'll certainly give it a try in at least one of the qualifiers (even though I'm sure I'll lose more games than I win).

It's a shame, but I don't think I can play…. I'll have an OTB tournament on February 19th and I'd like to focus on that. But I love 3+ check….
The Chess.com 3-Check Chess Championship is this year's second Community Championship, taking place February 18-20 and featuring a $2,500 prize fund.
3-Check is a variant in which you can win by merely checking your opponent three times. So if you've ever heard that in chess, "the threat is stronger than the execution," you can certainly take that to the bank in this variant!
The event kicks off in the second half of February with the qualifiers. You've asked, and we've heard you! Now, the qualifiers will take place over two separate days, so it's easier to fit them into your schedule. So mark your calendars for February 18 and 19, as we'll host four qualifiers each day:
February 18 - Wednesday
Qualifier 1 at 9 a.m. ET/15:00 CET
Qualifier 2 at 10:30 a.m. ET/16:30 CET
Qualifier 3 at 2 p.m. ET/20:00 CET
Qualifier 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET/21:30 CET
February 19 - Thursday
Qualifier 5 at 9 a.m. ET/15:00 CET
Qualifier 6 at 10:30 a.m. ET/16:30 CET
Qualifier 7 at 2 p.m. ET/20:00 CET
Qualifier 8 at 3:30 p.m. ET/21:30 CET
The winner of each qualifier moves on to the Final, a double-elimination knockout. The Final takes place on February 20, starting at 1 p.m. ET / 19:00 CET.
All players are welcome to join the qualifiers on February 18-19 via the Event Schedule.
