What is this?
Am I the only one who gets this error?

Can anyone explain what does this mean?
it means that you did not get a valid response from the original server (chess.com).

Hi Levent_Acemi,
A 502 bad gateway error is typically a problem with the network/server, however, it can also be a client-side issue.
One of the easiest and first things you should try when encountering a 502 bad gateway error is to simply wait a minute or so and reload the page (F5 or Ctrl + F5).
Whenever you encounter issues like these it can be good to clear your browser cache. Below are instructions on how to do it in the various browsers:
- How to Force Refresh a Single Page for All Browsers
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Google Chrome
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Mozilla Firefox
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Safari
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Internet Explorer
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Microsoft Edge
- How to Clear Browser Cache for Opera
Failing that you’re looking at DNS issues which is a whole other ball game so I won’t get into that. However once you try these 2 steps form your client side if the issue still remains its most likely an issue with the server side on the server you are trying to reach.

A 502 Bad Gateway indicates that the edge server (server acting as a proxy) was not able to get a valid or any response from the origin server (also called upstream server).
