A moment of silence for...
Sort:
Poor rec players like me who carefully set up a Colle-esque attack on a Kings Indian defense, makes very cool sacrifices to shatter the defending pawn structure and secure the winning attack... and then misses the 2 move checkmate because you made the check sequence out of the proper order when opponent makes a huge unexpected blunder. :-/ Bah, humbug.
I humbly correct: it may not be supposed to, but it was working just fine in the rec game I was playing. Course, I'm playing on the 1100 level, so I defer to your judgement inasmuch as higher level play would be considered.
Yeah, the game you're talking about was some kind of Modern Defense with White playing e5. Nothing like a Colle.
It was a pretty good attack you got going.

Wow.. I enjoyed this "moment of silence". Makes me want more. Is there a chance we can get your silence forever?

Oh, that wasnt Colle? Damnit, I keep trying to do it but I guess I keep getting it wrong. I read a book and the idea was to use bishops plus knights to kingsides after queen side opening. I looked at a couple of his games and tried to take inspiration from those.
Oh well I'll get it sooner or later.
Thanks for the compliment @the attack, I thought it was rather clever way I handled it. Until the ending, that is. Bloody hell.
