About cheaters

Hello everybody!

I really want to know if we are protected against cheaters while playing a game here. By cheaters I mean players who use chess programs to find the best moves for them. Because they exist everywhere (I am pretty certain of this) and we have the right to play clean and "human" games.

Thank you Smile

Ah ok I see, thank you. I just wanted to know if there is some kind of "anti-cheaters" program in our site, because it would be great Smile

I always wanted to say that: IBL

I don't know, I hear a lot of complaints about "lag cheats." I have had a couple of games where someone seemed to be benefitting from lag, but out of five hundred games, two aren't really that significant. Of course, it could be that the people who cheat are at a much higher rating so I never encounter them. But, if lag cheating was as big a deal as some people claim, it seems like I would have come across a lot more than I have.

"Lag cheats", looks like cheaters are getting more "intelligent" nowadays Smile

I don't even know what "lag cheating" is. I had someone accuse me of it today. Can someone explain?

"Sorry - I've been out. Chessocity didn't prove it exactly, but his ideas were close enough to merit some recognition. We have determined that it is VERY rare, but is occurring in some games by a few soon-to-be-banned folks. I have personally never encountered it, though I'm sorry for anyone who has (though again -EXTREMELY rare). I have no idea why someone would say live chess stinks - its super fast, totally stable, an loads of fun. I'm not sure how .01% of people time hacking constitutes "stinks", but to each their own. We should have appropriate countermeasures done within 7-10 days (they aren't easy). Answered enough for ya? :) "
