Small opening advice: in the alapin, bishop does not go to c4. Better was to play d4 sooner.

Well I actually dont like to play d4 at all . Just that he gets to trade his c pawn for my d pawn makes me uncomfortable

Then stop playing the alapin. Play the closed sicilian. Because if you’re gonna play alapin you have to play d4, that’s the entire point of c3

theres nothing wrong with delaying d4, and Na3 Bc4 is a common plan for white,

theres nothing wrong with delaying d4, and Na3 Bc4 is a common plan for white,

the bishop does not belong on c4. Very simple. Usually the knight goes there so white gets double control over e5.
