Are swedish people most genuys in chess?

we have got chess players in uk. micheal adams nigel short and john nunn who writes some good books. but england is still dreaming of winning the football world cup this is all we here on tv. we get no chess.but may be in the future with the country filling up with eastern europeans we might get a champion chess player.

How come Sweden never had any top players? What is wrong with that country?
