Are there 'uncaught cheaters' ???
I am still here lol
Careful there. You can get banned for claiming/ admitting that you cheat, regardless of whether or not you actually do.
That's not necessarily true because I copied and pasted a chat that I had with a member and sent it to Chess.com, and he admitted that he was getting help during our live chess match. His friends were telling him the best moves, and his account still hasn't been closed. I was told that the staff didn't know if he was lying or not, but I think that confessions should be taken at face value. People cheat all the time on here!

Interesting... I was under the impression that the staff took confessions, whether true or not, much more seriously. I know someone who created an obvious joke thread saying that he had sold his account for someone else, in the persona of the person who had already bought the account (admittedly I gave him the idea to do it). The staff immediately reset all of his ratings to 1200, and never changed them back even after it was more than obvious that the whole thing was a joke.
And regarding the original question: yes, I'm sure there are some people out there who've used an engine for 1 or 2 moves (and maybe a few more), and were never caught.
I believe you, and this probably happens often.

The last comment in this thread before yours was from 20 months ago. That explains it. By today's moderation standards this thread would have been locked immediately. And now that it's resurfaced, it will be locked soon. Just wait.
I've blocked him/her ...whatever IT is!
