My finger requires neither a fingerpad nor batteries nor wires.

You probably wonder how the finger works, especially without wires!

And with wires you would understand?

The mouse you use does not affect your play that much. However, I would recommend the Logitech G502 Hero, with around 60-70 DPI. However, once again, the actual mouse doesn’t matter but how quick the player registers the position. (I might add that one problem with the G502 Hero is that it sometimes has the tendency to hold a piece instead of moving it and so may make you lose a second or so on the clock).

My mouse has an app which controls the dpi and I personally feel that 60 is perfect for speed chess. However the DPI scale may be different on different mice.

Dpi is measured in thousands.... I have a mouse that can go anywhere from 800 to 20k, 20k is a bit much for speed chess, iirc 8k-12k was good.

To clarify, USUALLY dpi is measured in thousands, my mouse cant do 800k dpi.

For speed chess, a mouse with responsive and precise tracking, comfortable ergonomics, and minimal latency is crucial. Some top options for speed chess could include:

I use a crappy touchpad/trackpad on my cheap laptop.

I'm 2300+ blitz and bullet.

The secret to speed is to think on your opponent's time and prepare possible responses to each of their likely moves (so when it's your turn, you can quickly play a move without needing any more thought) ...

I also use a trackpad but the one on my new MacBook Pro is too wide and requires big, sweeping movements. My speed chess rating has dropped from 2000 to 1850 because I can't move fast enough. I've come to this page to look for mouse recommendations.

Almost any mouse is gonna work, the optimal would probably be a mouse that weights very little and fits ur hand well
