Music is an art. Plato has some good literature on what is beauty. Chopin, Satie, Dvorak, Alkan, and Ryo Fukui are some classical artists I like.

If the music is too interesting it becomes distracting. It's better for it to turn into white noise during most of the game, and those few times when you start to listen it should energize you. That's how I see it.
Classical music and music with lyrics doesn't work for me because it's distracting.
