Gambits. They don't have to be sound. You'll learn how to manage an initiative, how to get your pieces working together to attack coherently, and will teach your brain to develop rapidly. It's OK to play slightly unsound openings (most gambits, honestly), but if you want to get better it's NOT OK to play stuff that's totally off-the-wall like the opening mentioned above.
