The problem is, there are no good chess coaches that aren't insanely expensive...
I think that's weird, to spent what you win on chess on chess. Maybe to help your dad for a future chess tournament?
$50 would get a couple books. Maybe a chess clock.
lol it saves money cause your getting better without spending your own money... IDK its weird, I guess.

I recommend spending it on books, but if you're a chess.com full member you may already have enough study material. If I got a lot of money for chess I might hire a coach or go to a big tourney.
Another thing you could do is invest the money and use the profits of your investments for chess.
Buy an openings book and tactics trainer app on your smartphone and maybe a comprehensive endings book. I have Fundamental Chess Openings by Van der Sterren for openings but its up to you.

Having 50 $ + Winning 50 and spending the 50 you won on books and 50 u had on clothes does not save money compared to spening the 50 u had on books and the 50 u won on clothes.

Get "My System" by Nimzowitsch. Read the book, follow along with a chessboard, and watch your 1465 rating shoot up to at least 1800 pretty quickly. *thumbs up*

Hi everyone, I just went to a small tournament and got first place and won $50 (I know, that's not a lot of money).
I only want to spend what I win with chess ON chess, so can anyone tell me the the way to spend my $50 on chess things. I do have membership here on chess.com, so is there anything that I can do to improve my game. My USCF is 1465.
