Hey,

I am a newbie and still learning the game.  Can someone tell me the different ways to block an opponent?

The most generic is having them spell your name wrong.

Try this;

@OP: Do you mean to block someone from contacting you, or block as in prevent someone from checkmating you?

Sorry, I've never taught any chess and I learn something new everyday. The only tip I can give you is to avoid protecting your King with your Queen and don't get your Queen out onto the board early in the game............
