just think fast is what i do-

but maybe to some people it isnt chess because it requires less skill?? or thats what someone told me

its due to the concept that cause its fast and mostly based around superior intuition/speed that it essentially becomes a clicking game between a mouse and a cat, not a thinking game where moves and strategy are logical but rather a different world. this is usually why some people are good at bullet as while they may be bad at the game in terms of endurance, thinking, strategy, tactics etc they can compensate due to being a quick "mouse player" than a normal player

see i get that, but some people may view it as a game with skill because there's also several time variations for bullet. Like 30 second bullet is like you say cat and mouse but some other longer bullet games could be used with skill, im not a big bullet player though; more of a rapid player so i can see why people would be irritated with the fast moves of bullet

you are right though not saying ur wrong

no yeah just adding to the explanation on the reasoning one person told you

I would say it definetly requires you to think as you have to plan ahead pretty fast if you want to win or you could just stall and make random moves until you win but i usually do the first one

think in bullet terms just means having fast calculation and better intuition, thats it really

I agree, bullet chess is just making random moves

It isnt-

or else every 1600 would be equal to every 100

thats the logic ur using

But you still have the point to checkmate the opponent

which is the whole point of chess and my point is that bullet chess is chess

both of them are right

actually he is right and you guys are wrong, it is making random moves at any level with the only difference being just better intuition so we play random "good moves" and rely on that mainly throughout the game until we think for like 5 secs at a critical point where its just premoving

thats a good point too

Avatar of C0RVIAN

wellllll no need to use caps

i think we all have good points tbh

Avatar of Kowarenai

for example we basically can premove the opening with something super dry as its common knowledge at least where i am that you can get away with something like b3, e3, be2, d4, Nf3 and 0-0 as that just transposes into a normal opening quick without practically not thinking. the rest is done and the middlegame phase doesn't involve much afterwards except some 5 seconds of calculating tactics. after that we are in the endgame phase where only speed matters

Avatar of C0RVIAN

and to add, that premove could go wrong its a game of luck when your just going to use premoves thats where i said Kowarenai was right because premoves are guesses that you have to rely on

Avatar of Kowarenai

this isn't thinking anymore, its just premoving also i am 2500 i know what i am saying

Avatar of C0RVIAN

yeah the fact that kowarenai is also very high level and has made deep analysis's over several games probably out matches us a bit

Your wrong THE GAME IS MADE TO BE FAST TO MAKE YOU THINK FASTER AND HAVE BETTER CALCULATIONS

Just because you cant make calculations fast enough and you make random moves does not mean thats what bullet chess is about

yeah its faster which is why its random moves, cause it literally depends on time scrambles

Avatar of Kowarenai

Yeah thats random moves but thats not all bullet chess is

it isn't but its one of the main examples, people premove the opening and then use some seconds at max like 10 in the middlegame to when everything else is simply intuition/premoves

Avatar of C0RVIAN

just to remind everyone is entitled to their opinion. just dont get into an argument

and yet i still have no clue what a premove is

you dont-?

Avatar of C0RVIAN

can you not premove?

Premoves are moves that you do before your opponent plays whatever piece

i only stall like that and do random moves if im low on time

i am exaggerating the 10 second part a little but just judge from my video, you practically have 2 people premoving the opening, thinking for minimum of 3 seconds and then just relying on intuition. if you call this fast thinking then ig its theoretically correct as having good intuition can count as thinking due to experience but it doesn't really make this much of a thinking game
