I was on the topic of bullet chess, and first you go off on a tangent trying to persuade me with your cake, and now going onto the matter of "mental giants" who will be remembered for the discussions of our time? Look at yourself, you are clearly responding to a person who is miles away from you in an argument on an online website. Jersey Shore and The Real World are as good an argument as any as to why bullet chess takes more skill then real chess. Sure they are clearly unrelated to the topic, but the argument is stupid anyway.

Its normal for strong chess players to play worse when they have less time . Some are very strong in blitz and bullet and others arent . When someone has lower and lower ratings in slower time controls than blitz and bullet it means they are likely a weak player but very fast . The only skill bullet online requires is the ability to make many moves very fast while avoiding mate at the same time .

you know your facts, but what if Chess.com is the site where one plays bullet on, yet there is another site where he may be 2400 blitz? ouchy
Internet ratings are meaningless , only otb ratings have any real indication of one's ability in chess.

yes you're completely right, and I have a respectable otb rating. But as you said earlier that weak players move very fast and are good at that doesn't mean they aren't as strong otb. Some are equally as good at bullet as they are otb, so your statement is marginally flawed. THat's just my opinion though, and I respect yours for what it is.
no ones given me a good reason to why OTB is more skilful than bullet yet
and the topic is still going....what can i say..
In OTB you need patience, even the most absent minded should be able to focus for a bullet game.

However, I find that in bullet chess, there is a tendency to be less careful. I don't play bullet much anymore, but when I did, I could win with the most random moves.... OTB chess and even live standard chess require epic levels of concentration, which I and quite of a few people don't have every day.... But, I think you're gonna troll my comment like all the rest, so, go ahead! :P
