I fully hung my queen lol. Wasn't a sacrifice or anything lmao

What makes this even more painful to watch is that your opponent hung mate in 1 a few moves later (29...Ke8?? 30. Rf8#) and you missed it 💀

TBH, I probably wouldn't have seen it either if I was in serious time trouble, so I guess you could say I'm one to talk. I just thought it would have been even more amusing if you did see it.

Don't feel bad. I've choked in much more embarrassing fashion quite a few times in my games. That queen blunder is nothing compared to some of the things I've done in my games. Not to mention you managed to save it, which is something I usually don't manage to do... grin

Of course. I think we all know very well that winning a game that you absolutely deserved to lose can be a great feeling. Check out this absolute gem, for example:

No time trouble needed for this one. Just a flat-out fail from my opponent in a completely winning position that allowed me to win instead. grin

@GMlightining2200 I get nailed mostly by a far-away Bishop. I keep reminding myself to look at entire board always but it is difficult particuarly with no time. I don't undersand how you can even play that fast. Imagine the game you could produce if you could take your time. :-)

Yeah, and the opening was kinda...weird

Most probably would still be as bad lol

I sensed it was most definitely wrong but didn't know how to punish it lol

@GMlightining2200 hey, I had my Queen in the middle of the board - no other pieces around for a mile except a rook RIGHT NEXT TO HER which she could take. What happened? I moved a pawn down in a corner and the rook took my Queen. Saddes still ... it was a Daily Game and I had all the time in the world in which to move. tongue I've watched your games a LOT. You have nothing to ever be embarrassed about.

Out of curiosity - why was Nc6 considered a blunder on move 4? I realize it may not have been the best move but blunder? I don't see it!

c5 wins the knight I believe

Oh and it's written in the comments on the study

But I'm speaking of game on #6. The blunder was for the Knight on c6 wasn't it? I realize you can trap the Knight on b with a pawn move up but that wasn't what triggered the blunder on c6 Knight.

ADDED: I gues it was just that the Knight on b should have been moved. The blunder flag should have been against that Knight and not the one which moved AFTER. But this is why we don't take Review flags too seriously.

I actually did the annotations myself because I didn't want to waste my game review. I just went off of when the evaluation had a noticeable shift, and that shift only happened after the second knight move.

Now that I'm looking at it more thoroughly, I can see the reason why the first knight move was not considered a blunder; the knight can move to d5 if you play c5 immediately, and it'll be OK. However, by playing Nc3, I covered that escape square, albeit without realizing it at all until I reviewed it the first game.
