I feel like they should add a feature where you can claim victory when your opponent is stalling

they wait half the match for 15 minutes so it only happens twice the second time it happens theyll have less than a minute

The game should abort after three minutes.

I make sure I've put on some nice music before playing, so if the issue arises, I'm at least entertained. Then they get the thumbs down and a report for stalling. Then I move on.

Yea because today I was playing the best game out of my life, I was completely wining and would have mate really soon, he made me wait 3-4 minutes before resigning like it wasn’t hard to tell he was going to lose

Why doesn't chess.com create a maximum time for each move? In 30 minute rapid for example, The limit could be five minutes. I've never had to think longer than that even in the most complicated positions. That rule would avoid an enormous amount of annoyance that occurs for no good reason other than immaturity. Can you think of any downside to such a rule? Does anyone know why chess.com Doesn't institute this obvious solution?

After a certain amount of time the clock should reduce by 30 second increments, or something to that effect.

We've complained about this a million times and chess.com absolutely doesn't care about it. Stalling is not only annoying, but it also permits the opponent to use the massive amounts of time to add the game onto a cheat engine. I've had several games where the opponent is losing and then takes a 3-4 minute pause, and suddenly starts playing like a grandmaster.

I including many others suggested several times to simply add a time limit per move (such as 1.5 or 2 min) at least at a certain stage of the game, to prevent this issue in such a simple way. Every time, they come up with silly excuses such as "we've seen games of top chess players who need extra time in touch situations". Can somebody remind them this is a casual mobile game and not a freaking world chess tournament? People here commonly player a 10 minute game anyway, and naturally they don't have the luxury to take so much time for a move anyway. It seriously baffles me why the heck would they not have such a simple workaround for this. Simply add a time limit per move for games with short duration so that casual players don't suffer.

I've had several instances where the opponent loses a lot of pieces early in the game, and then instead of quitting or continuing, proceeds to run down the entire clock which is usually around 7-8 min. Such a long time just to troll their opponent.
