Can you get banned for high accuracy in an opening trap?

So I recently played a ponziani opening where my opponent fell into a very common trap. He then resigned some moves after.

I then checked game review and I had a 97% accuracy. Will I get banned?

So even though I knew the theory beforehand, because this is a new account, I will get banned?

RealFemcel

Hopefully I'll be able to make a ban appeal. I didn't buy this diamond membership to be unfairly banned.

RealFemcel

So you're accusing me of cheating even though all I watched was a youtube video explaining this exact opening trap?

colecollector
Theres no chance you will get banned for high accuracy unless you are cheating. Don’t listen to this guy lol
RealFemcel

I watched GothamChess video explaining this opening. This is the exact opening trap he showed.

A single game in which you played well is not enough to get banned. It can actually not be that hard to get a high accuracy in a game as short as this one.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Have you had other accounts here Pdffiles?

I don't have any other online accounts no.

RealFemcel

Yes, I mainly played chess with my dad with a real chess board

I also LOVE how new users all play like Bobby Ficher and reach ratings above 2000. Thay are all chess GM/s

I suppose you dont mean the OP, since he's 400, 500 and 900 elo on this account.

Number (1) I do not believe you and number (2) gl to you

Kindly stop making a nuisance of yourself.

Eric has played 12 games and has a SEA OF GREEN

Don't be so churlish. Evidently, my initial rating was below my skill level. The "sea of green" will get mixed with red in due time.

Make sure to play bad moves deliberately every game to avoid ban

If you're playing fairly, you have nothing to worry about.

Mr. PogosBest, after taking a look at your other comments, it seems you have a hatred for new accounts. I will therefore take your prior comments with a grain of salt.

Don't underestimate chess.com's detecting system. It is really accurate.

Also wtf is that username, OP?

indeed. I would think you have nothing to fear from opening traps (especially playing more Classic time or Daily games) or variations, some lines going as far as 20+ deep and BOTH of you are playing it accurately to a certain point. However, I do agree with some that cheating starts in the middle game, at some critical point where it could go either way and the follow up moves- then yeah, it's incumbent on either you or them to report any misdoings. Common sense. But for me, I don't play for sport anymore and I don't report someone even if I know they're cheating because it's on them. Heh. I just try avoiding people 300+ lower than me (unless I know them or we're friends) or like everyone here says, "new" accounts.

I think you're fine I Know that trap and I've seen it in my games before.I believe you knew that theory.

I agree, "smart cheaters" start in the middlegame. all the cheaters i have played have tryed to throw the opening and win the middlegame
