I used to be an intuitively good player, Even as a 1450-rated player online, I was able to beat a 1900 and draw a 2300 OTB. I was increasing my rating at a rapid rate, and I stopped at 1500. I took a break from chess for about 7-8 months, I stopped going to chess club and logged out of my chess.com account, then came back. Suddenly, I'm no longer as good anymore. I'm struggling to beat people my rating. When I sit down and focus I can consistently score 85% and above in accuracy and can beat 1500s quite easily. But then I play a few games too much, get drained, and lose a bunch of ratings. I don't care about rating and elo as much, but it's still annoying when I do decently well for a few games and lose 5 in a row. I easily get drained from chess and rapidly fluctuate my rating up and down. The truth is I'm not an amazing player. I used to be much better, but now I started practicing new hobbies and chess started slipping from me.
