As a Norwegian, I find this thread most amusing. Actually, what makes Carlsen such a good chess player is that he is not a man who play chess 24/7. He likes to play football, swim, have fun with his friends - and has a girl friend. He is very little fanatic and not at all a nerd. He is just an intelligent chess player.
And by the way: Yes, Norway is a small country (only five mill. inhabitants) in a remote corner up north. But it has one of the most productive economies in the world, is one of the richest countries (I think number 2 or 3) and with a welfare system which is unique. Please visit us and see for yourself.
