cheaters
Just a point on this thread.
I beat epstein342 fairly and squarely today. He immediately jumped on my profile and accused me of cheating. An analysis of our game will show quite clearly that he just played very badly.
I find that people who are immature and aren't used to losing often can't accept the fact that they're not that good and automatically think that anyone who beats them must be cheating.
It's a sad reflection on people who were probably spoiled brats as children and believed their parents when they were told they were "great" when in fact they're mediocre people who play mediocre chess.
Looked at the game and you just played smarter. I have seen chess engines at work many times and you were not making computer moves. He just made a few errors especially at the end of the game when he did not protect the King.
But there are definitely cheats here even at the lower levels and in truth you cannot really do anything more about it than the site is doing already with the higher ranked players (1300 plus approx) which in my view is pretty good .
If people think they have been cheated and lost too many points then close you account and re -open another and start over. No big deal and it is just a game. Some people here take all waaaaaaaay too seriously.
Guy leading this converstaion accuses me of cheating .
Maybe sort out his paranoia, rather than looking for cheats everytime he is beat!
It was a 3/0 game and in a 3/0 game a 1400 does not play that way; a 1700 can do it but not a 1400 (especially in a endgame). The sad truth is that many players open Chessmaster when they are in trouble. Rooks-Ahoy is one of these.

A wise man said: The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men’s souls - has barricaded the world with hate - has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The are all sorts of ways to cheat, but the one they absolutely don't want you to know about are the ones covered in this study...
BTW, is it considered cheating to have more than one player use an account?
