Thankfully I've never been accused of cheating. Honestly I don't know why because I keep hearing about people being accused of cheating with ratings below mine. My guess is they think this is too much of a personality and background to just fake... and they're right! To people who have been accused of cheating who aren't I reccomend writing an "about me" page that proves you exist, maybe even have links to other sites for more proof. I want to get my USCF account on my homepage as more proof I'm not cheater but can't seem to do it. If you're a high-rated player that wants privacy I'll respect that and believe you when you say you're not a cheater. However this trust has failed me four times now. Though my question to the world is why can't everybody just play honestly? I mean seriously, the world would be such a better place if I could know that all 10+ million players on this site were all human. To be a kick in the pants to all the cheaters out there reading this right now you're just as soulless as your engine. This comment may be harsh but this is how I feel after playing a bunch of machines for over a year now.
Cheat...why??
Hi, since you are new here I would like you to be aware that cheating is one of the topics we are not allowed to discuss publicly in forums. There are some groups where you can discuss it.

I do not know what is going on in there but talking of cheating, religion, and politics in public forums might get you into trouble.
The rules have been relaxed a little. This topic is not out of bounds.
Hi,
I am new to this site. I have been accused for using chess engine. I don't know how come people can blame someone without valid evidence.
I mean its quite annoying that I am seriously calculating some lines and opponent distract you by saying some idiotic things.
I believe the site should ban the account of such people.
When accused, the best thing to do is give the link for the accuser to report you (https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new).
One of two things will happen. the person will report you, and, if you're clean, no worries. The other is they might get pissed off. If so, you can disable chat when the other calls you names.

Have they? I had no idea. Thanks for telling me. I apologize for having misinformed OP and maybe other players.
The explorer is good for learning, but just means if you want to beat someone you need to head out of book quite quickly. Also, I'm not sure that an average of an average pointing out the good openings and win ratio's of certain variations is always a good pointer to your own play. If you know certain systems well, chances are you know them better than your opponent....and it doesnt matter if they have a theoretical win ratio of say 18%...
half the people on this topic are cheaters masquerading as good doers! guaranteed if your willing to use an engine to beat a 1600 rated player, you're willing to lie on a forum to make it sound like you would never cheat!
Maybe he is right.
maybe? guarantee that 90% of the things i have said, at least 60% is true.
Well you are Canadian ?? look how the Canadians treated the First Nation, then preached equality, your stripped them of there land, there dignity. im not at all suprised to be called a cheater by you, no difference between americans and canadians, only difference is the queen, thank god for that, imagine what carnage those people would have suffered.
what has this got to do with cheating?? how can you understand what cheating is when you cant understand the word "Justice"
In the 19th century, the chief of Whitefish Bay First Nation sent word to Crown representatives that it "agitated his heart" that he was to be placed on lands that were largely rocks and bog. Along with not being able to exploit the lands and revenues that we agreed to share in our treaty, our hunting and fishing rights were over-policed, with several wrongful convictions made by the Ontario government. And it is especially interesting that arguments of equity and fairness are used against our claims for revenue-sharing arrangements. Either Ontario is forgetting its own history or its politicians are simply ignoring it. It was hoped that Section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, would be transformative and right past wrongs done to First Nations. Unfortunately, it has done little but protect rights such as hunting and fishing that already were protected in treaties.
i think aunt sharon got out again and is posting on internet forums.

I always reply "Why certainly!" when accused of cheating. That explains my exemplary rating of 1600.
