im not talking about art
if you can have the same material advantage from a position of asymmetry then it has some implications. Namely, the fact that asymmetry in chess doesnt matter as it is transformed into symmetry. Also, it may mean that the choices you make are to a certain extend irrelevant.
The initial set up is symmetrical.

The following position is asymmetric but leads to the same material for black and white in the 3 main lines. What does this say about chess? Can you think of a case in the universe where an asymmetric phenomenon leads to equality in some form?
