Anyone on here ever play a chess game with a celebrity or know any celebrities who play chess?

The only celebrities I've played (and they're all celebrities due to chess) are WGM Jennifer Shahade (twice in a simul), GM Sergey Kudrin (simul) and GM Ildar Ibragimov (simul.) Needless to say, I lost all the games:)

Ray Charles, some wu tang clan guy too I think.  Will Smith took lessons or something.  I'm sure there are more (whether it's known publicly or not).

Wasn't aware Ray Charles played. That's impressive!

Kasparov played a game with Sting once, so Sting was an enthusiast.  IIRC Kasparov beat him as slowly as possible :p

He played Larry Evans, the strong (former) US champion, and although Evans won, I believe there was some analysis that showed Ray had a chance for a draw (or did have a draw).  Not that I think Evans was playing for blood :)  But impressive none the less.  Check it out:  http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1266243

That's wild. Ray played well; really well considering he's blind

Sting; hadn't heard of him playing either

I think David Dinkins, former mayor of New York City, was into chess

Stanley Kubrick was a decent chess player.

I don't know if you consider Howard Stern a celebrity, but he loves the game of chess.  He became a member of ICC  around 2007- 8,  and was taking lessons from one of the chess coaches and talk host of chess, Dan Heisman.

Heisman would never tell ICC followers who STern was, so it was always a guessing game.  From what Heisman said, he played okay.  I reckon Stern could afford the lessons.  :)

Carl Icahn plays.

I'm sure I've seen pictures of Humphrey Bogart playing.

Howard has long ago moved to a new ICC account but here's the old, abandoned one:

You must be aware that Bill Wall has a super-inclusive LIST.

I know the ICC blitz pool can be tough, but a 600 point difference?  Is the standard pool really that easy?

Was it a tournament game?  No

Was it a consultation game?  Yes

That about sums it up.

Stanley Kubrick has been mentioned earlier. In some book or other I saw a photo of Kubrick playing against George C. Scott taken on the set of a movie that they were both working on ( " Doctor Strangelove " I would imagine ).
