There is no coorelation between skill/ ability and rating, because people play to win games to earn rating points..it's pathetic

Strangemover

You got flagged in 1 minute games? Shocking.

I agree, this site is filled with people without manners and score keepers. I swear I have been cheated so many times but.... I think all of the sites are like that.

Just play faster.

You can't without blundering? That's kind of the point - if you were any good in skill, you'd just play faster/equal with your opponents speed and get better positions and win. So you don't have enough skill.

This guy makes a topic like this every few months. I don't think he's serious.

it is a bit of an epidemic though. Flagging isnt noble or honourable

It's not ignoble or dishonorable either. It's just part of the game.

And as the OP is told every time, if he doesn't like it he should play with increment.

Cherub_Enjel

It would be very easy for me to spend an average of 3 seconds/move, get good middlegame positions, then complain that the opponent is an unskilled flagger when I inevitably lose on time lol

Monie49
But it is part of the game!
Cherub_Enjel

Lol if the OP tried playing with increment, his rating would drop even further, since he's find that the 1+1 pool is much tougher, and his opponents will not make nearly ad many mistakes, since they have more time.

Slow_pawn

What's flagging again guys?

In the old days, before electronic clocks, when the minute hand reached 12, there was a little flag that fell indicating the moment that player ran out of time.

Flagging your opponent is when you claim victory due to their clock having run out. These days of course it's automatic, but the term remains. He's using it in a negative way, complaining about how he lost on time in good or winning positions.

Is it when your flag falls? I know, that's kind of old school. I'm just guessing.

EDIT: Hey, I got it right.

Sounds like flagging has cost me at least a couple hundred rating points over the years. Time losses are my specialty

The_Chin_Of_Quinn

Yeah, he was playing the fastest time control chess.com has heh.

universityofpawns

on the contrary...I think we have lots of skilled flaggers here...

urk
He must be completely opposed to premoving in bullet games on principle, because that would be trying to win on time.
The_Chin_Of_Quinn

One way to look at it OP, you were losing on time on moves like 30, and 32. The average game is longer than that of course. So if this is your usual speed it means your opponents should be able to beat you almost no matter what kinds of moves they play.

Cherub_Enjel

Opposition to premoving in chess is opposition to thinking. Very often in a chess games your prediction skills rely on your tactical skills/ board vision.

universityofpawns

Chess is frustrating....look at his game...the opponent had 0.1 second left...lol....sorry OP
