Tantale - It looks that Jill Battaglia (#485) was a better as painter than as chess player. The board is placed incorrectly
hi winnie... you are sharp:) but i like the photo anyway... i google the artist and found she is a photographer... it certainly looks like a painting.
also the painting in post 482. is GGREAT Lenin Gorky Krupskaya playing chess
Here is the game - those guys didn´t play just for the painter, in fact they knew a thing or two about chess !
It wasn't Lenin and Gorky that knew Alekhine's Defense theory so well already more than a hundred years ago, but the game took place in 1962 between players on two Soviet warships named Lenin and Gorky.
OK - that explains the high level of the game. I was quite amazed about that. Thanks fabelhaft !
