I'm wondering if anybody is aware of a comprehensive list of simple general tips/tactics that can help any chess player keep focused or better their game.
For instance, Gregory Kaidonov GM has a number of videos posted on Chess.com which are extremely informative. In these videos he uses phrases like "If you are ahead in development and your opponent's King is in the center, open the game up by pushing pawns and opening files".
A list of tactics like this would be extremely helpful.
