I don't know what it is with people from Slovenia. I hope it is just a coincidence. But you are the second person with Slovenian flag next to their name who expressed this nihilist, pessimistic view point. "Humanity is destined to die, we're all going to die. We're surrounded by lies and crappy governments. What's the point?"
For one, there is no one world government you refer to. So you should only speak for your country.
But more importantly, I don't even see how you're addressing anything the OP or others wrote in this thread. Is this just a way for you to rant?

You must be either naive, or blind, or maybe you have your own interests to save. When you open your eyes, notify me. It has nothing to do with Slovenia. Or Austria. Or whatever. It has to do with being tired of hypocrisy, lies, western fascism, fake freedom, fucked up societies. If you can't see what's wrong, it's not my problem. The conclusion of your reasoning is that all is ok, we're doing our best, we will continue our lives as they are now, no problem. Corporations are ok, being owned is ok, don't worry etcetera.

the world sucks, it's a corporative fascist pseudo-democracy and EVERYTHING is polluted. From health to food to economy... there's nothing to save. And some people, most of them, will die proud of it. Great.

To be fair, considering what the countries of the former Yugoslavia went through over the past couple of decades I can't blame folks there for being a bit pessimistic.

incantevoleutopia

It has nothing to do with yugoslavian wars.

ooooh, I see who you are and where you come from now. The New World Order and the international global corporations are the cause of all problems , and all that stuff? Ok, ok, ok.
I am very familiar with these conspiracy theories and the things people attribute to them.
Like "wake up maaan! Connect the dots! The Jews and the Illuminati, freemasons, together with the reptilian shapeshifters are conspiring with the current governments of the world to enslave the small countries into owning large debts to the Evil World Bank. We are all slaves, so that one day reptilians will kill most of us, and take over our planet! Greedy politicians and corporations allow them to do so! All who don't believe this are 'sheep'
(plus any conspiracy added to the above)

And then you give me a link to the late George Carlin. -_-
Now I HAVE the evidence!

These conspiracy theories are , most of them, garbage that cannot be supported by any proof. The other things you mention, such as the corporations, "fake freedom", "western fascism", "fucked up societies"? Basically nobody knows what you are talking about unless you were some sort of neo-marxist, possibly anarchist.

If you actually wanted to convince someone of what you believe in, you can always attempt to do so, in appropriate post in the forum (if it is within the rules) welcome people into the conversation and then explain topic by topic what you believe and why.

But I doubt you'd want to do that, because that is too much work, and most likely you know you won't convince many people due to lack of evidence beyond youtube videos and wikipedia.

Throwing a bunch of controversial terms at people in a forum thread that has nothing to do with those terms and then write
"If you can't see what's wrong, that's not my problem!" is pretty much trolling. If others not being able to see what's wrong through your eyes is not your problem, then what is the point of posting anything about that at all?

I think there are much better sites for these kinds of posts, sites that focus on aliens and conspiracies. Maybe some reddit pages. You'd find much more luck there.

incantevoleutopia

Your post is so sad I'm not even going to answer it. But I saw many times that when you mention directly the problems and who's keeping us back, people get angry and start pathetic tirades aimed at mocking the one who's speaking out.

You don't know me. How can you conclude that I use youtube or wikipedia?  I might be three times your age, I grew up with books, and a lot of travelling. Don't try to attack me personally, it's a waste of time.

I am not here to defend my interests, or convince people. If you want to live with your eyes wide shut, I have nothing against it.

But is it really possible to tell me that I am an idiot because I don't like corporative power? I frankly doubt it. But go on. You have a tirade against me, I noted. On the other thread too. I don't care... mah

incantevoleutopia

Maybe the point is that I come from the poor, and hell they know what fake freedom is - they don't live in rainbow world where everything is beautiful and everybody's happy and there are no problems and yes Jack we can live forever and ever...

I'm waiting for you to slam 3000 and more authors, philosophers, sciencists down as "idiot conspiracy people". And then proceed with those who take it up their ass in everyday life, which amounts to 80 % of the world's population.

incantevoleutopia

Ask yourself what's wrong with the world, and give yourself honest answers. No aliens. No Illuminati. No Youtube. Just honest answers.

Senior-Lazarus_Long

What Western Facism? The USA isn't facis.

TheGrobe

Western Fascism is hyperbole writ extreme, more accurate would be neo-imperialism.

Murgen

Drawgood you are drawing conclusions without having data to support them.

I may or may not be heartless, but a person saying that 2+2=4 does not make them heartless.

The person saying it may or may not be heartless, and if they are heartless they may or may not be saying it for heartless reasons... but you have no evidence upon which to base this (I myself do not have sufficient evidence myself upon which to determine whether or not evidence is something which matters to you so I will not make an assumption either way).

If you have a non-Pollyannaish method by which to eliminate starvation be so good as to outline it.

Murgen

Addendum...

To quote from "Watchmen":

"It doesn't take a genius to solve the World's problems, but it does take a room full of morons to think that they are small enough to be solved."

I think the estimated cost to eliminate hunger worldwide is around $30 billion (USD) per year. Good luck.

Sorry but that's nothing.

In the scheme of national spending, correct. It is nothing. In the scheme of chess tournaments, however, it might be a bit much.

You are right, I didn't notice the OP's point. Sounds like a kind of joke.

Nekhemevich

You can't completely rid the world of hunger, but you can help a few unfortunate people.

Nekhemevich

size doesn't matter. Whatever you can do to help. Those people would be very grateful.

When a population doesn't balance itself, nature balances it: starvation, epidemics, war etc.

Human ingenuity can ward off these things for a while... that allows problems to get bigger before coming to a head (on a grander scale).

Water can be removed from the ocean with a teaspoon - but the ocean won't get emptied that way.

When a population doesn't balance, nature balances it. That's a heartless way to look at it.

Nek, inbetween your chess games read 'Countdown' by Alan Weisman.

This one should get you thinking about everything you don't want to think about.

If every one on earth gave one penny to the problem  of hunger, how much would there be?  (If you have young kids, you give their pennies.)
