Holy crap, I never realised the connection. Gigi was "e4Nf3" back in the day, yes?
Chess_gg banned. What now?
NO, gg is a United States Veteran, and deserves a proper burial with full military honors. He smetimes came off as a cranky old bastard, but he and his wife were elderly, and starting to have health issues.
Seemed like a decent enough dude so I won't hold his military service against him (too much).
Why would you hold someone's military service against them ?
REB; I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm. gg was making a fuss about that Sargent Bo Birddog, the P.O.W. he had some strong opinions which I disagree with, but in the words of Trysts, what the hell does Cote know
Holy crap, I never realised the connection. Gigi was "e4Nf3" back in the day, yes?
Yup.
Now, comes the hard part. e4Nf3 claimed he lived in Brooklyn, while Gigi claimed he lived in a gated suburban community for seniors.
Both personae seemed legit. The man is a marvelous actor.
People that get into forum fights on a regular basis should just give up playing chess. Make it an either/or thing. Either use the site for the discussions or use it for chess.
Argument is a valid form of discussion.
It is. I was being sloppy with my language. What I meant was, it may behoove those that frequent the forums to stop playing chess on this site entirely. No chess games = no way to get banned for cheating. Therefore happy posting.
The more obvious path, though, would be to simply not cheat.
I anticipated that argument, as it is obvious, but it's still feel its better to be safe than sorry. People that post often in the forums often get reported out of spite and outspoken people have been targeted in the past and banned for cheating when in fact they are innocent. Henry Despres is a recent example.
It's just better to avoid all that nonsense by simply not playing chess here if you are a regular, and somewhat controversial, forum poster.
Of course I play chess here so I'm not following my own advice, but I only play with Macer75 and a couple other close buddies.
You got it, RJC: the Jane Fonda "You hate me....you really hate me" Lifetime Misacheivement Award--for excellance in the field of um....er....oh....whatever.
So what's up with 37% of the Mississippieans polled last week that said they'd support the Confederacy if Missisippi seceded today?
Then again the question as presented seems silly because the ultimate issue would be what is the reason the state would secede again. Without knowing that there is no way to know if one would support it.
Nah, maybe he'll go back to chesstrategist or e4d4, or somesuch?
