Are people, who dive into computer chess all the way can be positioned as the equivalent of substance users, who take succedaneums in the lower form of the initial product -I.e. Krokodil users in Russia, or Moonshine drinkers in Africa..? etc.

Or perhaps, it is the other way around.

People seem to have been losing the ability to think on their own. As long as "smart assistants" are just a good servant, as a tool, everything is okay. But it turns out Dr Lasker's "path of the least resistance" as a universal principle in the Universe does its toll and the use of "smart" technology is becoming a complete replacement for human intellect. Scary

So in the light of Dr. Lasker´s statement, in order to complete our judgment regarding the overall quality of computer substance, we would first need to decide which path is superior: The path with the least or with the most resistance.. Is that correct?

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."

Could we imagine a computer engine as having something in a form of an event horizon? Then, being outside the horizon, we cannot acquire any information from the within. On the outside, there is an unfaithful man, who cannot appreciate the description of the unknown, contained within the doctrine of "the faith" regarding the ongoing process, which takes place inside. If he believes, he enters inside the horizon, where he experiences unity with th "unknown". Unity of this sort (i.e. the prime move suggestion acquired from the engine) does not have to explain everything, but can provide a complete satisfaction.
