I experienced something very similar to your problem in the last couple a weeks, but what happend today was just unbeliveable. I was playing a 3 min. match, and when my opponent ran out of time it showed the red zeros on his clock for a sec. and suddenly he just got some extra time!!! How could that be???
Something is definitely wrong with the clock! I messured time with my stopwatch and befor the 3 min. game ended the time was over 6:40 on my watch and there was about 10 sec. more game time...
I would love to think the server compensates but just the other night i was playing live chess and had similar problems. Now let me get things straight, I'm living in China and the internet i far from quick with a 2Mb connection... a far cry from my 60Mb connection in the UK. HOWEVER, i had just finished downloading something for the past hour which was going at a steady 150-200Kb/s, after this finished i decided to have a go at live chess, pretty much every one of my games i had problems with the time. On two occaisions a note from chess.com said my connection had been lost, but just on another tab in my browser i was able to skip through my turn based games like lightening, there was nothing interupting my connection to chess.com for sure! This occured on several occaisions and sometimes i was allowed to reconnect with miliseconds left on my clock and other times no reconnection.
I have those too...and I always check if I can open another website just to make sure and I always can. Now I'm experiencing stranger things too: my opponents have pieces that are not shown...or shown at different places than they are at. My last game i just had to do a screenshot because it was just way too obvious,when I moved my knight on the 4th or 5th move and my opponent's (white) knight was shown on b8 which was my knight's original place...

My Name is Cliff Cosep with a rating of more than 1700. I am new to this FB web site. At first, i like it because the players are very challenging. Lately, I have noticed that my time is not running properly. I am raising this issue because it seems that there is a program hacking my GAME TIME. My table suddendly freezes and i cant move my pieces while my time is moving. When the connection returns my time is deducted. The deduction ranges from 20 to 40 seconds. Its killing my time and its cheating.. its unfare.. I used different computers and its all the same. My time is still cheated.!!!
As you can see on my playtime record, 99% of my losses were due to time problem. I only lost once or twice by mate. I hope you can fix this bug or hacking ISSUE so that everything would be fare play. If I was not cheated, my rating should suppose to be highger...
