Cosmic chess

Can anyone recommend a good book on cosmic chess? You know the version where not only black and white operate as matter and anti matter, destroying each other upon contact, but also with the black holes built into the game? The black holes are squares where pieces disappear to re-appear later on another square?

Are you thinking of the chess that is played in Star Trek? the one with three layers of boards?
