I'm curious to know of examples where chess AI decides to not take pawns towards the centre or where it doesnt take open material because it sees a more winning game in the future... recently read an artical here which said that you should always take material when it is presented to you, but it seems logical that if you could see far enough into the future with forced moves etc then sometimes taking materia now is actually going to be less profitable than taking it in a few moves time once you have done all the additional things you could possibly do to improve your position. do chess computers follow the same rules we do?
