You've never heard of the Knights Tinear?

Depends! If the woman is really attractive and has big breasts (no offense to other women) and if she's really hot! Then probably yes! Because the male player won't be concentrating on the game!

Hello again I'm a Guy/Boy. This forum has a lot of information and I do enjoy the reading. With one question in mind...."why does the status of a girl or boy change in termonolgy as they get older ? We must keep in mind that this forum is about Chess and not chest. I have read many post to this forum and with all the innuendo's it may be offensive to some who read this forum. Atleast give the girls there due right as equal humans. If the boy's of this forum continue to try and bla bla bla then where is this discussion heading. Some post were very informitive, and others were........Foot in Mouth

Jesus Christ!  Okay uh, I'll be subjective I guess.  hehe  Look at Natalia Pogonina....................................  I can't win against her.  Look at her rating and mine.  Does that say something?  hehe, Im surprised you even got the time. On the other hand learn from the play and better yourself in the game. I am giving my effort after comming back to the game after 40 years +.

yeah but that's because she is just better than you at chess, not because she's beautiful and you will be distracted.

If he plays the look and dwells on it then that will be his fault. Girls do have a charm. Again never play the number or avatar, play the board. thats where the boys fail LOL

Remember girls have their right and play just as well as boys. Why did this discussion ever start? In time you will see a Girl as Champion !

*cough* "Psychological" *cough*

Also, nothing wrong with "Do we girls..." (not "Do *us* girls...". Imagine "girls" is not in the sentence. You wouldn't say "Do us have an edge..." for a minute). The author is identifying herself as a girl and inviting comments from other girls who identify with her, and the emphasis is slightly but clearly different from "Do girls..." in which the author is clearly considering the question from a third-person standpoint.

As a man I never felt psychologically disadvantaged playing women or girls. That doesn't mean I never lost to them, but it was down to who played better, not which toilet we used. That's at club level (below English county standard). In the upper tiers I would imagine any edge goes strictly the other way, because the number of women who can stand up to a man at GM level is very small indeed.

If I were getting into a boxing ring with Tyson Fury, I imagine there might be a little demon in his head saying "If I lose to this fat old c*nt I'll never live it down", but I would expect it to be swamped by the confident expectation that I won't be getting up after the first punch.

Well that would be a self esteem issue Gil, BTW do you need a cough drop ?I think the discussion is concerning the opposite sex in the game of chess.

I would like to bring another thought to light concerning . Historically women have been concidered a subspecies to men over and over. If you could extrapulate that through our time frame as humans walking today you will see that information. It's amazing of the abilities of our opposite sex. But together in good understanding of each other, well lets say then you have a pair. When one try's to dominate the other then you will always have problems. Females are very important to this game and if any one feels offended by it, they must remember that this is a game for all.

Cough drop? No, I'm fine thanks. And I understand very well what this thread is about; I was drawing an analogy. It's a rhetorical tool you should maybe study further if you're having trouble following me.

I've been over the rest of your post with a fine toothcomb* in search of an actual argument, and found none, so I've not much more to add here.

(*Yes, really. As in "a comb with teeth" such as for dressing hair, and not any other kind of comb; obviously not "a comb for the teeth, because that would just be silly)

Indeed. I might have posted here earlier on but I've since lost track. Heh. OTB I have had the privilege of playing attractive women. But I'd learned, over the years, to treat them as I normally do.

With respect. Guess I'd been fortunate in my life to have been surrounded by strong female role models.

Obviously, I'm a competitive guy. But, sure, I will admit I will not play my absolute best against any woman-attractive or not. Call it chauvinistic. An ego thing. Regardless, it's a flaw of mine. Heh.

Jesus Christ!  To put the matter to rest The Holy Bible says husband to be gentle to their wives.  Their wives are subtly superior however they are helpers.  So both the husband and the wife have almost the same weight.  If a woman does not stay home and raise the baby we wouldn't have any future generations.  At the same time if the man doesn't go to work and support his wife then we have a problem.  That's why companies give paid leave for having a family.  They understand the responsibilities involves an enormous amount of talent, energy, etc.  And such are needed to put the baby's needs above the family because the next kingdom is getting ready one day to take place through the one baby.  Thank you Jesus Christ for my two real parents Huong Thi Thuyen Vu (mom) and Nguyen Binh Thuy (dad) for taking care of me although I'm should be taking care of myself.  Also, my sisters Nguyen Khoa Thuyen and Nguyen Khoa Thi shows how to graduate ahead of their older brother even though they are younger.  Thank you Jesus Christ.

whait whut? Aren't you forgetting original sin and everything or is it just cherrypicking from the bible to suit your needs.
