Uh, oh, probably the biggest thing is I wish they existed when I was a kid. I really wanted a remote controlled helicopter, but back in those days they were large and expensive (and probably dangerous for a kid to own). Now as an adult I don't care.

Umm, other than that... they allow normal people to make some cool videos such as overhead shots that normally wouldn't be possible for amateurs, and their use in the military is a bit concerning... although I suppose bombs and missiles are just as impersonal, and drones allow for more targeted killing.

There are some fun engineering applications, such as remote base stations to give people cell phone coverage e.g. in a war torn area like Ukraine, or immediatley after a natural disaster.

Don't worry, I'm not coming for your title as most pompous man on chess.com. Telling others things like "I'm sure you'd beg for me to educate you, if you only had the character" or whatever it is you tell Elroch and Btickler at least once a week.

"I could be among friends if I wanted to" is good advice, however I take it a bit differently. It's a mistake for me to look for friends on this website. I could be among friends if I made the effort to look elsewhere.

Don't take it personally... everyone on this website is a random person to me. I don't know you (or Elroch, or anyone). You can claim your IQ is a million, but that doesn't mean anything to me, because it's just words. Elroch can claim he has 100 math degrees, but that too doesn't mean much to me because I have no way of verifying that.

In general I stay agnostic towards that stuff.

In a heated moment one guy on the forums tried the same line of attack. He deleted those posts later and privately messaged me an apology, which I accepted, and we both moved on.

I haven't had any alcohol in, maybe a little over a year now, so that part of it isn't hurtful, but the obvious malicious intent is a bit breathtaking.

A bit ironic that I chastised you for engaging with him... should have followed my own advice.

As per usual, you will follow up this claim with not a single quote even close to being this over the line.  

I would invite you to try to find one, but you have never done it in a decade.
