I was looking at Magnus Carlsen's rating progresssion (month by month) on FIDE's website and I noticed that he played zero games in March and April and his rating had not changed. However, he played the Canidates tournament during that time. He did play games. My question is: do rating changes not occur during the Canidates Tournament and/or during the World Championship?
