Why do you sometimes see people getting extra time at the end of a timed game??? Opposition had 14?seconds left and I had 38. But when he moved the time jumped back to 24 seconds every time. Whilst mine still went down??

15|10 is a game where each player has 15 minutes and gains 10 seconds every time he moves.
yep, you have a 10 second increment, which means these games can take forever. in 30 moves, it adds up to 300 seconds (5 minutes). great time control for learning. you have lots and lots of time to make up your mind. i have never ever seen someone lose on time in 15|10.
