First person to win 1000 games against Comp1-EASY gets 1000 trophies!

I would prefer NOT  to have 1,000 trophies sent to me.

Oh Planet, such a churlish attitude.  When all you have to do, to undermine the trophy process and demean yourself, is play the comp 1000 times on easy?  What could be more fun?

Seriously though, the only time I play a computer at chess is when I am on the train and its my phone.  Any other time I am trapped with a computer and spare time it will be Magic the gathering, League of legends, Civ 5 or really anything else.  Chess is about suffering, yours and your opponent.

So, it appears that people are not very eager to enter this contest. That's totally understandable - when I first started playing here over 2 years ago, I couldn't possibly imagine playing 1000 games. That number seemed astronomical - and yet now here I am, having far exceeded that number and still playing regularly.

It's hard to overstate the importance of playing more games for beginners. No matter how many tactics you study or how many openings you memorize, you can't improve unless you actually play.
