Fritz and Rybka and Hiarcs and Junior agains the traditional chess book?

What did you think about this chess engine. Did you think Rybka is better than any chess book. Did you preffer Chessbase or you training on the old style by reading a chess book.

I am not sure you can compare a chess engine to a book?  I'de say you are more likely to learn from a book, the only thing that you will learn by playing Rybka is that your grade isn't over 2900 elo.

In fact, Deep Rybka 3 64-bit is around 3200 elo. =)

I agree with AMcHarg. An engine won't teach you much. They're meant mainly for game analysis but they can help you improve your play. They won't teach you concepts, though.
