His efforts at attempting to intimidate you into resigning possibly ended up backfiring on him by disrupting his focus and/or perception. Oh well.

Yea some players can take the game a tad serious, I was asked if I was 'scared' earlier during a rematch because i decided to take a sip of my beverage,, having been away from the site for some time I have noticed some changes.. 1. More and more people just abandon the game when lost even with 10 or so minutes left,, 2. alot of players take like 1 1/2 minutes to move with white I can only assume looking at past games,, 3. wow alot of people are now playing the f-pawn earlier then I remember and,, 4. I have notice many puerile female players in the forum's.. which is cool but curious.. some random observations which may be limited exclusively to my own experience on chess.com by far the best chess site!Q!
i just played a guy who resigned 3 times in a row after the first move, thanks for the points :) everytime at the next name he was matched with me again :)

a few hours ago i was reading some guy's post regarding people who are bad sports and ask you to resign...
a few minutes ago, i was playing with a guy named "patentman". some point out of the blue he says: resign! next move he loses the queen:)) needless to say he just vanished making me wait for 2 minutes:))
