the idea behind the wonderful propho a6 is to stop 6. Bb5 !...cuz now white gets to trade off black WSB (and now black's d5 is subject to abusive behaviors and that loss of control feeling). 

so if u dont play a6 first ?...expect Bb5 and a lattehouse game where black is yucky sucky. member. one a the key themes for black in the SD is occupying d5 w/ a pawn (and maybe a anchor for a horsey outpost or s/t better). not so ez w/out a WSB, rIght ?
