5,606,334 misspell lose as loose
Shouldn't that be missspell?
lol. How did you get the exact stats for that, upto the second decimal??
I read every internet forum post about chess in the past ten years and counted.
7,896,245 use either lose or loose to discuss the failure to win or draw.
5,606,334 misspell lose as loose
Oh my! 5,606,334 occurrences of the word loose? The human race is most definitely lost.
Since this thread is more than a few hours old by now, what is the current count?

Haven't laughed since the year before you were born
This is all due to the dumbing down process taking place in the schools that has been going on for decades. I believe its intentional myself. Is it easier to rule educated people or the uneducated ?
My experience is that top chess players have an excellent grasp of grammar, ortographic precision and expressive language.
Anand speaks perfect, fluent Spanish. Kasparov's English is rapid fire and precise. A number of the chess videos I watch have Eastern European players with a brilliant knowledge of English, which is evident in spite of the at times more than noticeable accent.
Carlsen's English is so precise that the journalist from TIME had this to say about it:
His speech, like his chess, is technical, grammatically flawless and logically irresistible.
The need for precision over the board seems to be carrying over.
The thing that really irritates me ( not a spelling error) is when someone that is a TV or radio announcer says " I could care less"..............
What the heck does that mean????
