I was playing in a USCF toury once and my opponent dropped a combo on me that shook me so bad , i recorded my feeble replay and then hit the wrong clock the one that the fellas were using playing right beside us !!
Have you ever break a clock smashing it during a game ?

one time my opponent didnt hit the clock and he had around 23 minutes on his clock and i was faking that i was concentrating hard then he realised after like 15 minutes and he banged the clock hard..
I hate doing that but you gotta do what you gotta do.

LOL... you do gotta do what you gotta do. One of my students went one better. His opponent too had forgotten to hit his clock. My game had finished and I was checking up on my students when I proceeded to watch this student put his hand through his hair, plant both hands on his forhead, slightly shake his head... anything to make him look like he was in deep painful thought... while his opponents clock.. ran out.
For the record... I did not teach him that..lol

no but but i have seen so many clocks get down so the moment you pick it up you lose precious seconds dirty tactics especially when their is a bet

In high school i played a much stronger opponent than me in the yearly tournament. He used to beat me during our pratices but this day I played super aggressive chess (which is the only to beat a better player I think ! ).After few exchanges of pieces that he accepted because he did not see my moove coming, I forked his queen and king with my knight (It's always a cheery on the cake in chess
), when he saw it ,he lost his control and after mooving his King smashed the clock so hard that he broke a finger ! He did not finished the game and the tournament pretending that he was hurt (LoL) because of the poor quality of the clock !!!

I've hit the wrong clock lots of times, and I pretend that I'm concentrating when the opponent forgot to hit the clock. Do whatever it takes to win.

Ahah Be Careful ! Some of your opponents may want to smash your head by accident pretending they are focusing

He played so slow that it rusted.

But at least I'll be ahead in time.

Once in one of my games I was very lucky. We played a bullet tournament and my opponent had 23 secs on the clock and i had 11 secs. He played a move which leads to a mate in 2, but he forgot to smash the clock. He lost by time and then I laughed so much.My opponent was so angry. He did roundhouse kick to the clock and then the clock broked
. Then came Chuck Norris and he did roundhouse kick to my opponent.
LOL
LOL
even did a little song and dance!
