My daily games always turn on "vacation mode" when the get under 2 hours left.... why? Also I have over 200 games and have timed out on none.

From the FAQ How does Vacation work? How much time do I get?

All premium members enjoy "auto-timeout protection," meaning that their vacation (assuming they have any left) will be automatically enabled if they are at risk of losing any of their games on time.

Gold is premium, and it looks like 2 hours is when the system judges that you are at risk of losing on time, so it's switched Vacation mode on for you.

I've also changed the title of this thread to more accurately reflect your actual question, as it might help someone else if they have the same question in the future: I've done the same to your other thread originally titled "Help!!!!".

Cheers!

But won't they lose their vacation time? What if the person will surely be available in those last two hours?

I mean, I am not a premium member. It's not my concern but if I do become one day... happy.png

Yes, that will use up some of that person's vacation time; most people will usually have enough of a "bank" of vacation time that it should be fine, it's only the people who use vacation time a lot that are anywhere near risking running out of vacation time.

I don't why it's 2 hours and not, say, 1 hour or 3 hours. It's possible that it was different in the past and may be different in the future.

It uses 24 hours out of the bank but if you get on and start making moves, coming out of vacation, any time left in the 24 hours gets added to all the games you are on the move in, up to the maximum game time control.

How do you get your vacay time refilled?

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

The link provided by david explains it some. You get additional days every month. How many you get depends on your membership level.

The way it used to work is that you get part of them on the 1st of the month and the rest on the 15th.

Ok. Thanks.
