I see a lot of players stuck at 1400 and near by. I have been devoting sometime to chess for past 2 years, but rating is still the same.
Things I have learned
-An understanding of why centre is good and why develop there, that all plans need not be about king attacks.
-Tactical puzzles of about 1500 (as present for free members 5 per day)
-Endgame study with basic king and pawn
-Involving all pieces in the attack
-Using the London System(for avoiding opening prep and for pattern recognition by using the same opening)
-Being a big Ben finegold fan and listen to his lectures :D
-Played around 1000 games in all forms
-Review and go through some of my games
I know I am not meticulous in my study, but am involved in it often. How do I improve now?
I assume you are talking about your live standard ratings, since that is what you play most often. Your ratings have not stayed stuck at 1400. For most of 2014, you were somewhere in the 1200's. In the last couple of months of 2014, your rating shot up above 1500. Then it looks like you didn't play for 9 or 10 months, so when you came back your rating fell a bit.
I think you should keep doing what you are doing. Hopefully you will recover your 1500 rating soon.
The only thing I would change is to try to learn some other openings besides the London System. Staying with one opening may be easy but it is not very ambitious and you will need to learn something else if you hope to improve.
