Sad. He didn't cheat. Okay.

I was joking in reference to anonymous dragons comment about everyone posting "sad, he didn't cheat, ok".
The Law is the Law
FIDE Laws of Chess:
12.3 b
"Without the permission of the arbiter a player is forbidden to have a mobile phone
or other electronic means of communication in the playing venue, unless they are
completely switched off. If any such device produces a sound, the player shall lose
the game. The opponent shall win. "

Bruh it's been 32 comments . And not one person has had the intellectual capacity to respond with something that adds worth to the discussion . All I see is "sad" , "he didn't cheat" , "okay" .
Pathetic
Sorry about that. I just didn’t know what to say.
I personally think that those rules are simply unneeded. At least, at the calibre they are in.

Are they? He said himself, rules are rules. He's popular of course, so a lot of his fans will hit back at it, but I think especially with cheating in online chess, that these rules are very reasonable.
The phone was on: potentially someone could be texting him moves, or the amount of times the phone vibrates is the move to make. Of course that isn't going to happen with Hikaru, but high profile examples like that have happened.

True, but I doubt anyone in the top 100 will throw away everything just for a fun tournament.
However, if they make exceptions, it’ll be unfair.
i mean it is hikaru, he never cheats and same with magnus given their history in the elite
It’d be unfair just because they’re famous to allow exceptions.

it doesnt involve famous but just records, why would the #1 chess streamer and major impacter in boosting online chess cheat? when you look at it this way, its illogical for him to be disqualified at all and same with vidit as drawn positions should be offered ❤️
Exactly. Influential and famous. Impacting chess… streamer.
Once again, making exceptions like that is just unjust (see what I did there?). However, agreed that draws are allowed in a drawn position. Lol.
Sad. He didn't cheat. Okay.
Okey
