Legend has it that's where the term blitz chess came from.
Why does the OP refer to him as, "a prominent figure"? 
He was one of the most despicable despots that ever lived. He was a drug addict and spent time in jail after WW1. His actions and his alone caused the deaths of millions of people. He failed as a soldier and as a leader he destroyed Germany. I see nothing prominent in that
He was prominent in what he did from a historical prospective. But this is about chess.
I don't agree with the cancelling history culture.

Anyone familiar with history would tell you Hitla is on the left.
The one on the left resembles Hitla.

History always fascinated me. Hitla is one of the most prominent figures in history. Many wonder if he enjoyed chess. Well, here is a portrait of him playing against Lenin. Quite a masterpiece.
