How do I get over 1000 rating in daily?

If you willing to play any rating any time, why you only play unrated after getting to 2000 after playing an average of 1300 player in blitz to get there?

A few days ago I played maybe 5 unrated games.

This is the only time I made it unrated by myself. The other games where I played unrated were against @Cyboo who asked for the games to be unrated.

I played @imronilm1204 maybe 10 rated games, which as you should know, I gained ZERO rating points for winning those games, and it dropped my average opponent statistic.

Anyway, I played unrated on purpose a few days ago because I drank more than usual, and I just wanted to play for fun.

This site

http://celtickane.com/projects/blood-alcohol-content-bac-calculator/

says my BAC was 0.15

Even so, I had an easy draw vs @wikipedia1286 and lost like an idiot (luckily it was unrated).

After that game I beat @direrl without even using 1 minute (in a 3 minute game).

Then it paired me against really low rated people and I switched to lichess.

Oh, and when my OTB rating was 1900 I tended to stop playing rated games when my blitz and bullet were 1900 even though I could have probably pushed them higher.

IMO I could get over 2100 here (and have in the past) but I don't want to play for hours trying to do that.

In fact I like playing lower rated people because it's easier to win, so I usually play unrated on lichess just for fun. I play tougher people OTB at the club I visit.

More tactics, and use the analysis board. Study every move your opponent could respond with to find the best move for you.

Is it not cheating to use an engine on a game? I know you can use opening and the onsite move book, unless I've misunderstood?

Also regarding tactics, I've solved thousands of problems on this site, and seen little improvement. I recently reset my progress but my tactics rating peaked around 1200 and is now only 800, even after 3300 problems over a year or so. So just doing tactics does not help.

I reseted my tactics to go slow this time and learn from the tactics and hopefully I can get better that way.

Your issue appears to be the usual....Youre not taking your time.

I might reset it again. The problem is if I see something obvious after say 30 seconds, I'll go for that, only for it to be wrong. Or I get the first move right and the next wrong. And even if I spend 5 minutes on a problem, it doesn't guarantee that I'll see the answer. I might be looking for a check or mate, when the problem is a trade or a capture.

Same here! That is why I rested it.

Well I seem to have gained about 200 points just by slowing the hell down a bit.  I don't have the patience for long games, but a game with the time set at 15/10 allows me to play without getting bored and I've learned to use more time while looking at the position.

Also helps if you go back and look at your previous games.  Sometimes I use the computer analysis, other times I just look at them without it and see where things turned for the worst,  It helps greatly to go back and look.

I'm not studying my games and putting forth alot of effort because it would suck the join right out of my favorite pastime.  Chess is not that serious to me, but it helps to expend a few minutes looking back at your losses.  If you find yourself getting hammered by the same openings, go on Youtube and look up some videos on how to defend them.  For example, I used to have a hard time defending the Fried Liver Attack, now I hope my opponents try it.

Winning. 1000 is still beginner level and can be attained easily with patience and studying assuming you’re playing opponents around your skill level

I did game/30 OTB for years until I got to 1500 and then 30 min isn’t enough to calculate 60 moves or more that’s 30 seconds a move. I need my 2 hours

Wait a second now.., you didn't even read my post. I already said I have slowed down and no help has been provided. I don't need to slow down any more than now.

True. I could watch my mistakes and learn from them.

Not really sure how I got it.... I think I just won many games where my opponent left.   That's why I play against opponents that are stronger than me normally.  I don't lose much when I lose but if i win then I get lots of points.

You can press the analysis button on the game, even when its in progress. It's not for computer analysis, it's for you to mark down your thoughts/ combinations/ whatever.

win a game without losing one in the process

I got over 1100 but went inactive and timed out on a bunch of games for the fourth time in history. Back under 1000. I've lost all interest in ratings because of that now.
